Overview

This 11-day Thailand adventure takes you from the vibrant streets of Bangkok to the serene jungles of Khao Sok. You’ll begin in Bangkok with a city tour, exploring its historic old town, street art, and delicious street food. After traveling to Chiang Mai, you’ll spend three days at an Elephant Camp, connecting with elephants, exploring nature, and visiting local hilltribes. After returning to Chiang Mai, you’ll experience a Thai cooking class before flying to Surat Thani and heading into the jungle at Khao Sok. Here, you'll stay in unique treehouses or bungalows, enjoying guided tours and swimming in crystal-clear waters. Finally, you’ll return to Bangkok for your departure, taking with you unforgettable memories from the diverse landscapes and rich culture of Thailand.

Project Requirement

Volunteers must be 17 years or older at the time of joining the project. Participants should have an open mind and flexible attitude for working in a new and different environment. Volunteers need to be flexible, open-minded and have a passion for working with elephants and outdoors. You should also be proactive, have the ability to take initiative and willing to work outdoors. Participants should have no criminal convictions and should provide a clean criminal background check report. A parental consent form shall be required for Under 18 participants joining the program.

Living

Living

As a VolSol volunteer you are provided with best of living standards available in Thailand. Our dedicated coordinator and staff will assist you with your airport pick up, stay, meals and even weekend sightseeing and travel. Arrive in peace and have the best time of your life. 

Airport Pickup

Participants are picked up from the Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok by a local team member on the program start date. Please note that airport pickup is only provided between 6am – 10pm at night. Those participants who are already in Bangkok will need to make their own way to the hotel/guest house accommodation details of which shall be provided.

Accommodation

While in Bangkok, participants are provided accommodation at a boutique hotel property with a youthful vibe in Bangkok Chinatown. The budget hotel features stylish rooms, with wonderfully comfy beds and all the amenities for a laid-back, relaxed stay. 

In Chiang Mai, participants stay at a quiet and secure boutique resort which is just a few minutes' ​​walk to Chiang Mai Night Bazaar.While working in the elephant camp, accommodation is provided in the project itself.

While in Phuket you would stay at a wonderful accomodation situated in the heart of Patong area.The hotel’s location could not be better for sampling the sights which Patong has to offer, a short walk to the beach and close proximity to all local bars and restaurants.

Meals are provided are strictly as per the itinerary as given above.

We shall encourage you to try the authentic local cuisine - because when you’re in Thailand, you just can’t miss Thai food!
