Overview

Those who choose to volunteer for the Women Empowerment Program In Morocco would have the chance to work with women and NGOs working towards the upliftment of these women. Volunteers are involved in teaching, providing awareness on women's rights, reproductive health, land rights, domestic violence and more. Volunteering for women in Morocco is of a great importance as it can bring about a paradigm change in this gender section. Making them aware of global trends, and helping them learn a skill that can help them become an independent individual is the ultimate objective of this volunteer program in Morocco. Volunteers interested in the cause of upliftment of the women and making a difference in their lives would find this project fulfilling and rewarding.

The government of Morocco has been doing many things to improve the lives of women in Morocco. A lot of efforts have been put in economically and politically to improve their social and economic conditions. Still a lot of women live in poverty and are abused, especially, in the poor communities around Morocco. Volunteering Solutions places volunteers with some of the best NGOs that work for women rights, issues, and overall empowerment.

Sample Placement Profile - Jossour
Jossour - Forum des Femmes Marocaines, located in Rabat, Morocco, is an active non-governmental organization focused on promoting women's rights and gender equality. It was founded to advocate for the political participation of women and address systemic inequalities within Moroccan society.

The organization works on evaluating mechanisms for improving women's representation in political and decision-making processes, and it frequently collaborates with international partners like the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung. Jossour emphasizes leveraging constitutional provisions, such as Article 19 of Morocco's 2011 Constitution, which underscores gender equality and parity, to advance its mission. Despite progress in legislation and institutional frameworks, the NGO highlights ongoing challenges in achieving practical gender parity, particularly in leadership and legislative roles.
