🎉 Welcome to our half yearly edition of Volunteer Spotlight Stories 2024! We are excited to highlight some incredible volunteers who have dedicated their time, skills, and passion to make a positive impact around the world. Whether they’ve been teaching in local schools, helping with conservation efforts, or supporting healthcare projects, each of these stories is a testament to the power of giving back.

1. Francesca C, Medical Volunteer Program Tanzania

Taking part in the medical volunteer program with Volunteering Solutions has been one of the most significant experiences of my life. It has given me the opportunity for both personal growth and professional development. Beyond the medical work, connecting with the people and experiencing a completely different culture left a profound impact on me. It’s an experience that I will carry with me forever.

2. Heather, 2 Week Special Project Thailand

This is my 4th trip volunteering abroad and my first with volunteering solutions – I wouldn’t use any company other than volunteering solutions again! The whole trip has been outstanding, tailored to what we wanted and very well organised. The communication in England and Thailand has always been impeccable despite time differences too – very impressed!

3. Andrea C, Childcare Volunteer Program Morocco

I participated in the volunteer child care program in Rabat, Morocco, with my mom and we had an outstanding experience! The small school that Volunteer Solutions partners with was very coordinated, and you can definitely see the progress the kids have made. We fell in love with the kids and the teachers! Thank you for a life – changing experience.

4. Luna B, Girls Education Program Ghana

I had the most amazing, rewarding, and special experience of my life in Ghana with Volunteering Solutions. Emerging into a totally new culture, giving yourself body and soul, learning new things, learning how this culture lives, and living in its day to day life is the most incredible thing in the world! I will be eternally grateful for this experience, and I completely recommend it to people looking to have a life changing experience, learn different things, and especially help those in need.

5. Judith F, Childcare and Elephant Volunteer Project India

Volunteering Solutions is such a great way to travel & volunteer. My son & I enjoyed every aspect of our travels. We were greeted at each destination by a friendly informed host which made us feel confident in a new foreign place. The price was well worth it. We felt very well cared for the entire time.

6. Xinran Z, Teaching Volunteer Program Bali

My 2 weeks in Bali were wonderful. At first, I was kind of worried about security-related problems. But after I arrived, I found out that all the staff here were kind and responsible. Staff from VolSol gave me strong support as well. I really enjoy the time spent with the children here.

7. Keri H, Medical Volunteer Program Kenya

Booked a medical volunteering trip to Kenya in March with 7 other students and had the best time of my life. The trip was by far the most amazing thing I have ever done. The organisation from Volunteering Solutions was incredible, they were always quick to respond to any queries and our contact in Kenya was amazing!

8. Lillian G, Sea Turtle Conservation Project Sri Lanka

The best time of my life! Not just the work with these enchanting animals was what made this trip the most amazing. Experiencing the culture and lifestyle, as well as the daily chores of the people working at the project, and of course the unbelievable feeling of releasing hatchlings into the Indian Ocean or watching them grow at the hatchery! I can’t even put into words how many wonderful and breathtaking moments I have been able to experience because of this volunteering.
