Volunteer in Kenya with Volunteering SolutionsVolunteer in Kenya - the land of culture, good people and breathtaking safaris. Kenya is bordered in the north by Sudan and Ethiopia, in the east by Somalia, on the southeast by the Indian Ocean, on the southwest by Tanzania and to the west by Lake Victoria and Uganda. Kenya is known the world over for its wildlife reserves containing thousands of animal species. Kenya has more than 40 different tribes, having their own languages and cultures. With more than 1/10th of the land which is dedicated to parks and wildlife it is a true mix of diverse culture and loving animals. Although Kenya is considered to be one of Africa's more powerful economies, it is still a developing country. HIV AIDS has caused some major sociological upheaval which has resulted in many children being homeless and orphaned. Volunteering Solutions provided volunteer opportunities along with its partner organization in and around Nairobi and the rural Masai lands of Kimuka (1 hour from Nairobi). |
